A 25-year partnership between Winch Design and Amels
Winch Design and Amels have reached the impressive milestone of 25 years of partnership, producing some of the most iconic yacht exteriors and interiors over the last quarter of a century.
The first project between Amels and Winch Design took place in 1998. 54.5m Sarafsa (now named Faribana V) featured a Winch Design interior and exterior. Over the past 25 years, Winch Design and Amels have delivered 15 yachts in total and have five projects currently in progress.
The diversity of designs in the Winch Design portfolio and deliberate avoidance of any signature style perfectly complements the Amels Limited Editions range, which creates the perfect balance between full custom and semi-custom.
Annelies Damen speaks to Andrew Winch, CEO Aino Grapin and Managing Partner and Creative Director, Yachts & Aviation Jim Dixon about the history of the two brands working together and what the future has in store.
“I like the fact that the Amels collection is so diverse. As a series boat, they have a common basis, but they all come with different clients with different expectations and a different lifestyle” – Jim Dixon, Managing Partner & Creative Director, Yachts & Aviation
We look forward to another 25 years of collaboration together!
