Winch Design reveals interior of the ninth hull in the Amels 60 Limited Editions series
Winch Design has revealed the interior design of the ninth hull in the acclaimed Amels 60 Limited Editions series, created in collaboration with Dutch yacht builder Amels. First launched in 2019, the Amels 60 combines the benefits of a semi-custom build with the design flexibility of a full-custom yacht—offering clients a significantly reduced delivery time without compromising on individuality. The exterior is crafted by renowned designer Espen Øino.
With previous interior commissions for hulls 1 (Come Together), 3 (Confidential), and 6 (21.12), Winch Design brings a wealth of experience to the series. Notably, Come Together earned both a World Superyacht Award and an ISS Award in 2023, recognising the Amels 60 design and build in its entirety.
The interior design of the ninth hull is inspired by the expansive beauty of the Pacific Islands, with each deck capturing a different element of the oceanic region. Inspired by nature and seasonal colour changes, the interior uses natural materials and textures throughout including wood, stone, plaster finishes and leathers, enhanced by accent colours introduced through carefully selected marbles.
Embracing the concept of barefoot living, carved wood flooring adds a sensual texture in key areas such as the beach club, encouraging a seamless indoor-outdoor lifestyle. Sweeping curves, soft forms, and a gentle palette throughout promote a sense of effortless, relaxed living.
The lower deck areas are infused with the warm tones and textures of golden sands and sun-dappled forest floors, creating a serene and grounding atmosphere. On the main deck, tranquil blue tones echo the ocean's expanse and endless horizons.
At the heart of the yacht, a striking central staircase inspired by trees elegantly spirals upwards, evoking the lush rainforests of the Pacific islands. This nature-inspired staircase seamlessly integrates the essence of the region's beauty, flowing gracefully into the canopy inspired bridge deck, which captures the vibrant landscapes and tropical greenery of the area.
“We created a refreshing interior derived from the Pacific Islands, with a focus on vegetation, the ocean and the sky,” explains Managing Partner & Creative Director Jim Dixon. “We started with a neutral and natural canvas and created unique features such as a back-lit onyx wall with an internally illuminated sculptural staircase column.”
Hull 6009 is currently under construction and is on schedule for delivery in 2026. She is available for purchase and ready to welcome a new owner to shape her final details.
