Winch Design Unveils Luxury Beachfront RESIDENCE at Velaa Private Island, Maldives
Winch Design is delighted to share the completion of the newly reimagined Kuredhi Residence at the ultra-exclusive Velaa Private Island in the Maldives. This secluded beachfront four-bedroom residence has been transformed into a serene and sophisticated retreat that embodies the spirit of barefoot luxury through a refined, contemporary lens.
Set on an untouched stretch of ivory-white sand and framed by lush tropical greenery, the redesigned residence is a seamless extension of its surroundings. Winch Design’s concept celebrates light, space, and materiality - employing a palette of natural textures, soft oceanic tones, and artisan finishes that speak to both place and purpose.
The interiors feature soaring beamed ceilings, floor-to-ceiling glass windows, and bespoke furnishings that blur the boundaries between indoors and out. A tactile, organic palette of beautiful woods, soft linens, and artisan finishes sets a calming tone throughout the villa. Swirling shell-inspired textured lacquers, patinated metals and seaweed-like woven raffia brings a grounded, tactile quality to the interiors.
Carefully curated furnishings and artworks include a Minotti Hamilton sofa, sculptural lounges by Piegatto, and richly textured carpets by JAB, alongside a collection of artworks that enhance the villa’s tranquil atmosphere. Notably, textile sculptures by Anne Kyyrö Quinn and organic installations by the Phillips Collection echo the movement of the sea and the rhythm of nature.
Outside, the residence opens onto a private terrace with an infinity pool, a hot tub cabana, and open-air dining areas - all crafted to encourage relaxed, barefoot living in a setting of understated elegance.
